Bio:

Hongbin Luo is a full professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Beihang University; he is also the Dean of Centrale Pekin, Beihang University, since May 2023. Sponsored by more than ten national projects, he focuses mainly on the design of future Internet architectures, and has published more than 60 papers in leading journals and conferences such as IEEE ToN、JSAC、TMC and INFOCOM. He has won several awards such as the 2nd Class National Invention Award, and the National Science Fund for distinguished young scholars.

Prof. Xiaowen Chu

Title:

Communication-Efficient Training of Large-Scale Deep Learning Models

Bio:

Xiaowen Chu is currently a full Professor and Acting Head of Data Science and Analytics Thrust at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). His research interests include GPU Computing, Distributed Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Wireless Networks. He has won six Best Paper Awards at different international conferences, including IEEE INFOCOM 2021. He has published over 240 research articles at international journals and conference proceedings. He is a senior member of IEEE, and has served as an associate editor or guest editor of IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, IEEE IoT Journal, IEEE Transactions on Big Data, IEEE Network, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, etc.

Prof. Junni Zou

Title:

Geometric Based Deep Learning on Riemannian Manifolds

Bio:

Junni Zou is currently a full Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. She was a visiting professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of California, San Diego (UCSD), USA, from 2011 to 2012. Her research interests include immersive visual processing, geometric deep learning, reinforcement learning. She has published over 150 IEEE journal/conference papers, and 2 book chapters, including 48 IEEE Transactions journal papers. She holds 45 patents and has 20+ under reviewing patents. Dr. Zou was granted National Science Fund for distinguished Young Scholar in 2021, and National Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholar in 2016. She obtained the First Prize of the Shanghai Technological Innovation Award in 2017 and 2011, and the First Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Advancement Award in 2008. Also, she obtained the Second Prize of Technological Innovation Award of the Chinese Institute of Electronics in 2018, and the Second Prize of Science and Technology Advancement Award of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence in 2020.
